    Default Forum slowness and stalling

Do you guys notice that the forum is really slow or non-responsive lately? At times its great, quick and other times I cannot even get on.

I have been on several times myself... Seems to be pretty smooth... My connection is not the best but the pages all seem to load within 2 or 3 seconds, if not less.

I'm with Mike on this one, sometimes it is really snappy and then there are other times when the page takes forever or doesn't load at all. It has been going like that for quite a while now. I thought it was just me.
Penncrest Buzzbox - Infinite amp control! Man the 70's were good.
Everlast Powerplasma 60 - Reliable unit, cuts well.
Everlast i-MIG 250P w/spoolgun - Really smooth, plenty of cajones.
Everlast 250EXT - Sometimes it just takes a kick in the balls...
Everlast 255EXT - Just started playing

Seems good here in SC. I have had it run slow at home but that is due to AT&T's sorry dsl (damn slow line) internet.

So today I went to the forums, clicked on the TIG area, and the browser just sat there - the message at the bottom was "Waiting for Everlast Generators" - waited a full minute and then nuked it since nothing was happening. I tried it again, and it stalled, and I refreshed the page - and it worked...

It happens enough for me that I dread coming to the forum - I will check it on other computers to see if its my end...

    Cheers,

    Mike

I have had it time out every once in a while. But pretty rare. It seems like packet loss, not slow response, so if it doesn't respond is a few seconds, I go back a page and try again, usually with instant results. There is no point in waiting for the time out. You can always run something like Wireshark to figure out just what the problem is, but since there is usually nothing you can do about it, why bother. About the only thing is that if it's a slow or flaky DNS server, you could switch that and/or add a different secondary. I gave up on AT&T for DNS because of downtime and other problems, and now use Open DNS, most of the time. I hear good things about Google DNS, too.

I hope Oleg has the webmasters updating the forum. I know I've been fighting many many bots for weeks now. Sucks to be popular, but Everlast is...
