Thread: newbie from missouri

  1. Default newbie from missouri

I just purchased a power plasma 50 and waiting for it to be delivered. Should be here Tuesday. I am into four wheeling and I am in the process of tubing out and four linking the rear of my 91 s-10.

Just joined the forum myself and also are waiting for my powerplasma 50 to arrive, should be handy thing to make some of my dreams more of a reality. I'm sure more of my projects would turn out better if I knew what I was doing. That's the problem when you are long on ideas and short on talent.

Plasma cutting is not that bad. It has a slight learning curve unless you drink a lot of coffee.

My son today used the PP50 to make me a rack to hang my air tools on. He cut the shelf/hangers all with the cutter freehand. Then took some angle iron and made the frame, tacked on the shelf. There is a guy selling them on ebay for $10 and $7 shipping (just for the 18" shelf). My son said we can make a much bigger better one for nothing.

We mounted an air horn in my youngest lifted go-cart weeks ago. Plasma and TIG made the customer bracket.

I wish I had more imagination myself.. But you will find a lot if great things you can do with a plasma. Drilling large holes, removing rusty bolts, etc.

You will love it like your first girlfriend, maybe more because they don’t whine. Seriously they are great machines, I use mine quite a bit.

Well tonight my plasma cutter showed up. It was later than I expected UPS to get here so I didn't get a chance to hook it up and try it. When I opened the box I found the front bezel to be broken in half. I sent an e-mail to customer service and I will call tomorrow to see what to do.
