Thread: 210EXT DEMO FOR THE WEEK OF THE 20th

  1. Default 210EXT DEMO FOR THE WEEK OF THE 20th

We will be setting up one of the 210EXT for a demo on Monday the 20th of August for the week . The Demo unit will be set up at our location in Burlington.
So if anyone in the area is interested in trying one and even taking one home with them now is a good time to take advantage of the Sale price on them.

    Cheers

That's Burlington, Ontario, Canada, right Duncan? Not Burlington, Washington, US close to me, right?
Is it OK to want to break something just so that you can weld it back together?

Just to give some perspective to the size of the foot control and actual units , The pedal can be seen in my hand.
For this first order Canada is offering a choice of either the Trafimet style WP26 torch, A Flex neck WP17 or a Flex neck WP20 water cooled option.
    Cheers

Duncan, final product looks better than even the samples...Glad they came in for you. Won't take long to clear them from inventory.

By the way, for all interested, the new web pages are up. They may need a little fine tuning, but the specs and comparisons are there.

I had Brett spend the day yesterday playing with the settings and just getting a feel for the machine.
First comment he had was on the Foot pedal being so much smaller than our other pedals , but he soon got used to it.
Second point he really liked on the unit was having the ability to set his % for Hot start ( percentage above operating amps to start stick weld ) and the time for it to stay on.
He is still playing with the different wave forms but his feelings are that the standard Square wave is his go to choice.
He is picking up the functions and oprating parameters fairly easily including going into the sub menus .
To start of he simply wrote down the sub menus paremeters and then simply played with it to see the differences.

The nice thing for me having Brett do this is the fact he is 19 years old ( last week ) and works here part time and during holidays and he is a novice welder ,so operating the functions on this machine is not that difficult to pick up on especially if you stay away from the hidden menus .

I'm sure a "novice" 19 year old can pick up on the settings and menus on an electronic device pretty quick as compared to some "experienced" welders....have you ever picked up some of these new smart phones? Crazy.

The new smart phones and the like are the future! Once you go to them and learn their features you'll wonder how you ever did it before (as I'm typing this on my I-pad). Hopefully the new digital welders are the same. I think the features will be great although there are obvious benefits to the traditional knobs as well.
