Default Project 5 from CGCINC: Category - General Fab work

    Locking Rent Box

This is for a local senior apts complex.
    Size is approx. 8"x12"x12" tall.
I used 11ga. steel since I have extra laying around and used mostly MIG welding to join it all together. Used the Plasma to cut the pieces.
I painted it with a dark Bronze color that has a Hammered texture. The mounting pole is painted the same.

    Power I-MIG 200
    Power Plasma 50

Nice & clean. I like the finish. Is that that powder coated or just spraypaint?

It's painted. I painted it with the hammered texture paint then I "baked" the paint on Sunday for 6 hours with 500watt flood lights.
I really like the way the paint turned out!

Agreed, that is a great finish. Any particular brand of paint you used?
Penncrest Buzzbox - Infinite amp control! Man the 70's were good.
Everlast Powerplasma 60 - Reliable unit, cuts well.
Everlast i-MIG 250P w/spoolgun - Really smooth, plenty of cajones.
Everlast 250EXT - Sometimes it just takes a kick in the balls...
Everlast 255EXT - Just started playing

It really does look great. At first I thought you were making a post for a box you had... then I seen you build the box as well.

Wow that cleaned up nice. I like the hammered look. I have a box like that that is 4' talk, I might have a place to use it now (or sell it). Was originally for a sculpture to sit on.

I was just trying to be funny. Just look at my avatar....

I tried some of the black hammered by rustoleum and it matched black power coat I had on a driveway gate. I figured it wouldn't look anything like they claimed but was glad it dd. Re power coating was not an option (14' x 8' gate).
