Your wife and mine must share the same thoughts! I am installing my second lift now and had to hear the same thing from my wife. I just tell her she has too many shoes!

My wife says she understands...as long as they can put food on the table some day.

Seems like everyone is damaged in shipping. When are you guys going to learn? I'm sure there would be a lot more being bought if this wasn't the case. Thats the main reason I haven't bought.

    2 rods,

I believe you are underestimating the abuse that UPS doles out. I have so many customers with products they produce themselves tell me that they have the same issues, even if the items are well packed. UPS's lines are fully automated once the package is loaded. But I had one UPS guy drop a welder from his chest onto the a cart that was about 8 inches off the ground and hand me the delivery board to sign. I told him that he had just dropped an expensive, electronic item. He shrugged and said that UPS had no business being in the freight business and walked off. The box was reinforced, had banding, etc,yet there were holes jabbed clean through damaged corners etc.

Since then, we have upgraded our packaging and up graded it. We have even had UPS look at our packaging. We have beefed up internal construction, improved the strength of components and attachments internally, yet UPS still finds ways to damage them. I even had a guy confirm to me that when they see the required "made in china" sticker, the union guys love to give the box an extra pounding. I have taken a look at our shipping boxes compared to the competition...I went to a dealership that had just received a 7000.00 inverter welder which weighs about the same as ours. The box was lighterweight, perfect in condition, not a mark or scratch on the box, and only had a flimsy piece of cardboard for cushioning. I have looked at others as well. UPS seems to handle these much better. They are not coming in or leaving from us damaged. We have taken pictures of the box before shipping out sitting on our docks for proof.

I have received one unit that had the feet of the welder sticking through the bottom of the box even though it had soft foam ends, and it went through the folded flaps of the box bottom.

FedEX depending upon who you ask may be marginally better, so we are looking at them.

If you don't want to order because of possible shipping damage, which we will take care of, then I understand, but we will never eliminate the damage 100%.

email me your personal information, and I will check on your replacement. I am not aware of any one from January waiting on a unit. Give me dates and times you shipped back etc.

  11. Default Maybe I was lucky

I live in Texas and I had a few scratches on my box but there was NO shipping damage on my unit. I think people really overestimate the amount of shipping damage. Just as in any other customer service with retail industry you always hear from the people with problems, while if you hear good things there are probably 10 other people that had the same experience yet they don't want to spend the time to say something about it.

Think about it, how many times do you stop and complain when you don't get what you want, now how many times do you tell someone that they are doing their job correctly or doing a good job?

Looking around here you'll see a dozen or two problem threads. Do you really think these guys are only selling a few dozen units? C'mon there are LOTS of people that are not even member of this forum so how in the world do you expect to hear from them? However you can be certain that if people have problems they are going to look around here and post.

I guess we are Lucky here in Canada as to date we have only had one cracked Bezel from shipping. Although i have to admit we add a little more cushoning to each package.
