Hi,

Just got my 140st in the mail yesterday. As a coincidence I got home from my welding class and the box was stuck inside my porch door. Wired up the 220 plug I bought and plugged it in- wow, lights up! Got to scrounge some scrap from the container outfit next door to work so I can try 'er out this afternoon.

The unit included the longer leads. I was afraid I'd end up with the short 6 footers. I'm happy with the work clamp- more heavy duty than I expected. The TIG wand looks like it will be adequate. There's a loose collar on the end of the handle- is there an optional TIG whip cover that is captured by that collar, or is it left over from a design change? One thing I wish for a longer gas line. No problem to splice a length of line to it, but not as neat as one continuous piece, esp. if I want to put the welder on my MIG cart lower shelf and have side by side tanks.

Also, I would like an optional Tweco style clamp rod holder. I used both the Bernard style (as included) and the Tweco style in class and both have their pros and cons. Is that something I can get here, or will any 25mm Dinse style lead off EBay fit the 140st?

Overall the quality of the components, fit, and finish are better than I expected. Can't wait to start burning rods after work...
