You might want to reconsider your asking price as you can buy a new one (with 5 year warranty) for $1400 shipped from amazon.

Considering the demand for the unit, and the resales we see on Ebay, which is near, or even over retail in some cases, he's dead on. The unit is proven by now and has an existing warranty.

My point was not that the 250ex is not worth what he is asking, it is simply to point out someone could buy a new unit with a 5 year warranty vs his 2 year old unit with no warranty (unless I am wrong, I thought warranty was not transferable????) for $100 more. To me the 5 year warranty is defiantly worth $100. If the warranty IS transferable.... it is a little more attractive.

Can't help think you're going to regret selling the 250EX. You've put down some made nice looking welds with it:

I guess it's a case by case thing. I would makes sure before. Maybe Oleg could chime in here.

If you are including any extras that didn't come with it, you might want to list that here to sweeten the deal. As it is, depending on shipping, I can see it being more than new, so you probably won't have any takers, unless local pickup or something. Maybe advertise in the local paper or that damn list.

are those pictures 7 years old?

    just curious

awarding warranty coverage on a case by case basis is BEGGING for trouble.

guess i stand corrected on that comment of warranty being transferable ,but i will not come down on price.

It is case by case, but we do work with customers if they call us to negotiate the transfer over to the new owner. I don't see why it wouldn't in this case.

if i'm not mistaken pictures number two and three are of the same tank. so there are two seven year old tanks. which one was welded with the EX?

hmm think i am wrong there. thought it was same tank flipped.

okay, i'm guessing the one you welded has to be one of the other photos.

    it does say to guess.

no the third tank is the gt-40 tank and tanks 1 and 2 are both different tanks look at the bottom of the tanks and some of the tanks we weld are of his design he sells as a stock tank but most of them are 1 offs that are custom made per customer prints.

Whenever I see 1/1/???? on a picture, my first thought is someone didn't set the date on their camera after letting the batteries go dead.

honestly though the 250 ex is a sweet welder and i can lay some good beads with it the real skill to me is laying out all of the tanks where the fittings go and forming the parts correctly and i dont have all the skills to do that but i can weld aluminum pretty good.
