Thread: hello from Oregon

  1. Default hello from Oregon

hello, my names Terry, new to the fourms!
just purchased a 225lx TIG, ive had some experience with MIG, but never Tig, so im self-teaching, watching weldingtipsandtricks.com videos, and researching as much as possible to become a confident tig welder!
Im a Chevy technician at a dealership. I'm also really into Drifting my Nissan 240sx. i abuse it a fair amount, so constant fabrication is needed!

Howdy Tcable5! Nice pics. TIG is going to give you a lot of flexibility in what you can do. I think you are really going to enjoy it. Congratulations on your Everlast order. The 225LX is a pretty impressive welder. Do you have a water cooler on order as well?

Jody, from weldingtipsandtricks.com, also has another website - http://welding-tv.com/

As you learn and practice, go back and re-view his videos. You may find stuff applicable in the future that you might gloss over now because it might seem too advanced or not applicable today.

Good luck and have fun with your new welder when it arrives! Cheers.
Is it OK to want to break something just so that you can weld it back together?

My bad. For some reason, I thought when you said you just bought it that it was still yet to be delivered. So you have it, nice one! Excellent machine. Hope to hear more of your progress and your projects.

    Cheers!

I take it from the scenery you are on the populated side of the mountain?

I'm easy to spot ... not many one-eyed racers out there ... I've been racing a black Buell but I want to move up to a faster bike. If you make the AHDRA NW Nitro Nationals look in venders row for "Winky Enterprises" or "Windvest" that's us. Click image for larger version.
