Default Power Tig 200 Dx 2013 Model ??

I have heard of different models of the 200DX machine and noticed that the early 2012 models have an extra knob on the face versus the older ones. As mentioned here on another forum there is a new 2013 model 200DX with new features, can anyone give us the specs and availability of this 2013 200DX
    machine.

Yes someone please shed some light on the 2013 200dx as I will probably end up going with a 200dx and would hate to buy one now only to have a new model come out next month with a feature I could really use.
Something like upslope??? or a lower ac start amp???

I need a MIG.... which one to buy:
    I-Mig 160, I-Mig 200, or a MTS 160

No the basic machine is unchanged, its the same one we've had out since earlier this year, as far as features go. DC amps have always been low. AC is at 20, which is still low..
This years unit has preflow/postflow/downslope and increased pulse frequency at 150Hz. It also has arc force control and the amps are adjusted on the panel now. No real plans to change that.

So the 2013 is the same as a newer 2012 (no changes)???

Yes. There may be some minor internal and cosmetic differences, but nothing significant as far as performance of features related to tig welding.

any changes to the 250ex for 2013?

LOL...here we go again. Every year we get this question. Honestly, there's nothing we could add or change in the EX as far as features that would improve it any or that would add to the intrinsic value of the unit. If we add too much to one unit or the other, we loose the units distinction and all we have left is the amp differences, which would then likely only sell one unit, because all features being equal, it would cost us about the same to produce a 200 as it would a 250...and no one would pay the price for a 200...and we'd loose some sales on the 250 because there's too many features for some people.

See, now what you need to get into is software upgrades. Just make sure the profit margin is nice and sweet. You want that Arc Force switch on your LX to work? $200. Want an extra 25 amps? Well that'll be $300.

It does have the extra button on the bottom that I see, don't know what is new from the old cuz I am total noob here as well as tig welding. I got mine through Amazon at a better price than what it is selling now. I was looking at the blue machine first but so far I am happy with my decision and have been playing with it, I LIKE! It came with a 20A 220 plug??? are you kidding me? They should not include that at all as it is underrated for the machine.

BTW I absolutely hate this sites green background for reading and when I go to another site with white background I get flashed in the eyes like I dont have my welding helmet on. Someone needs to lighten up on the green! Its not only green its neon green on my screen.

You can compare it with the old one here.

Long arc, short arc, heliarc and in-the-dark!

So the difference is more pulse settings and pre flow knob. Well that only makes mine more complicated.

Something to toss in the box... I think there are too many variables on the plug. Some people are using a dryer style plug (that is where they are getting their power from) I have all my 220 welders on the same plug so the cords all swap.

Think you will like the welder... I am really happy with mine...
    Shade tree MIG welder.
Now a Shade tree TIG welder.
