Wow, PowerPro 256. Nice! Well, I think you are well on the right track. You have the enthusiasm and the willingness to learn. Definitely watch the videos. Even courses might not give you the perspective of what the puddle looks like and behaves when welding correctly like the TIG videos that Jody puts out. Professional instruction along side that is invaluable. Reading will give you some of the theory and that's good too. Many of the forum members here are really helpful from everything from electrical power requirements, wiring, welding supplies as well as welding tips and machine settings.
