Backorder list....??

Is there a list we can put our name on to recieve a phone call when an item that is on backorder is back in stock and ready to ship?

Sorry, our system isn't set up for that. I wished we could, but trying to call hundreds of customers back is nearly impossible and is time consuming along with our regular duties. And believe me, it would be hundreds. We offer preorder sales and that effectively deals with the issue for customers as they can receive updates through the shipping and tracking numbers, and of course the purchaser knows a fairly close time frame as to when they should expect to receive a unit. On top of that, it generally guarantees they get one shipped the day they come in or by the next day at the latest. On popular products its really best to preorder, because there are times that they are sometimes sold out shortly after when people find they are coming in. First come, first served so to speak.
