If you have entered the Winter Fun Time contest, you may notice that you have lost some post count. I I started with 228 and was up to about 240 posts and now notice that I am at 221, now 222 posts.

I noticed at the start of this contest that I had fewer posts than at the end of the last one, but I haven't been paying much attention lately.

Haven't noticed any lately, but back in the hot and heavy part there were definitely entire threads being deleted.

He's just saving the best for last!

Jim, if it is alphabetical, he isn't past the 'H's yet.

Not that I am in any hurry to see this thing go out the door, but it would be nice to know that message was recieved and I'm on the list.

Thanks for the confirmation Oleg. Like I said, no rush on my end, just nervous about falling through the cracks.

Hope it is brisk holiday sales that are keeping you busy!

How about the Canadian customers. Im not sure who is affiliated with who, but I ordered mine out of Mississauga Ontario. Ive been dealing with this issue since I purchased my unit in July of 2010 but have made it work. I love the machine, I use it every day as I own a welding shop, its my preferred unit for welding aluminum. But it would be nice to have it sorted out. I had to purchase a smaller unit to do low amperage welding where I vary the pedal a lot. The 250EX would be a great unit with that small issue sorted out. In two years Ive only had to replace the gas valve once and reset the points twice other than that its worked great. Any info would be appreciated. I would even report testing of the new unit as a company. Go green!

I don't quite get this approach and the sudden rush - since all the 250EXT's are going to be replaced anyways, why not let all existing customers keep using them until the 255EXT is ready, and then do the swap? I have nothing in this game anymore, but it seems to me that having the continuity of a machine is pretty important, especially for those who weld for a living. Also, existing customers will be taking much less risk, since they can be confident that the 255EXT exists, and if you get a lead customer, performs as well before they accept the swap. If Everlast keeps to the schedule, that is only a bridge of 3 months anyways, so if deliver slips, no customers are adversely impacted.

    Cheers,

    Mike

I would assume sending back the 250 EXTs will free up some cash to get the new 255 EXTs sent to the US. I would love to keep the 250 EXT untill the new 255 EXT is out, but can make it by with my Mig welder if needed over the next few months.

I hope not, that would mean customers are lending money to Everlast, it's more likely a condition of the factory. Who knows, but doing the swap with the minimum interruption to the customers is what I would do if I had a product that had to be totally recalled, which essentially this is. Lets see if these posts last long enough to continue the discussion ...

I believe that the newer version is from the same factory that makes the 210ext. That is a different factory from the 250ext. If all the machines are going back to the factory I'm sure it would be cheaper to ship them all at once. I have feeling they want to be done with the 250ext.

You may be confused. This doesn't sound like the machine we are talking about as it hasn't been out that long. The 250EX hasn't had any issues like the 250ext...and the distributor on Everlast is in Toronto.

The units have to be all returned at one time and not piece milled. I believe there is a time limit on things as well. The customers do have options here, and not just one path.
