As it would be my luck is just not good when purchasing new tools or equipment, My new RJ-9000 pound bridge jack for my 4 post lift had a bad Cylinder, Over a year old never used out of warranty ,A New cylinder was $249.95 plus shipping. I found a piece of 304 stainless with the right ID and decided to replace the tube. Cut the old base off on the lathe, Turned it around and cut off the top which was threaded for the rod end. Tacked and welded it on with the Power Tig Micro 185, 125 amps, 3/32 309 stainless rod,I just about finished with honing the bore . Will weld on the base tomorrow repaint and install it.Will post more photo's when finished .
