I seem to recall in the back of my mind that Jodie from www.weldingtipsandtricks.com did a review on that one sometime last year. Actually now that I've thought about it he was reviewing the 256 TIG unit ... however you should go there and watch some of his reviews on Everlast he seems to like there products a lot I know I like the one I have (PT200DX)

Judging by what I've experienced you can't go wrong with Everlast ... I looked for the power arc and didn't find it until I realized it was strictly an arc welder ... I'm so attached to my Tig which also does stick I forgot they make straight arc units too. Sorry no one has addressed your inquiry yet ... you might try asking on Jodie's forum as well.

As far as I know, we've had no issues, and on top of that, most people are tickled with the performance.

We put up the video that you are thinking about I believe. It's here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du6i60fV2rQ

    Hi Mark,
I viewed the video ... very informative ... it was the new member "Bel" who was interested in the power arc 300 I just noticed he posted his inquiry back in November and no one responded to his post so I was just giving him feed back so he would have an idea where he might find out something about this unit ... hopefully he will see the post and view the video. It's a nice looking unit and if at some future point I'm in the market for another big arc welder I would consider this one ... right now with my PT200DX and my old Miller Thunderbolt 225 I've got that end covered.

    Have a great day.

I have a PA 300 and I am very happy with it so far. I had to experiment with it a little at the beginning because I was not used to welding with an inverter welder and I was a little confused by the arc force function, but now that I have it dialed in, I love it. I burn mostly 6010 and 6011 for pipe welding, and I find that this machine is perfect for my needs. It produces a very stable arc and the additional controls are very usefull for dealing with fit-up flaws. I also love the fact that I can bring the welder to the work location with 8/3 extension cords and operate with the same amount of lead and ground every time. I've only had the machine for almost month, but so far I would highly recommend this machine.

I have a pa200 and I don't think that I have seen any complaints on any of the power arcs.
