Thread: Is a CT520D 110V or 220V?

  1. Default Is a CT520D 110V or 220V?

Is a CT520D 110V or 220V? After purchasing on Ebay and seeing the following description.....

    Technology:
Mosfet Technology with Fuji or Toshiba Mosfets

    Operating Dual Voltage:
    208/220vac 50/60HZ Input Single Phase 1PH
    110/120vac 50/60HZ Input Single Phase 1PH
    50amp cut draws 25Amps
    40amp cut draws 22.5Amps
230V No Load Voltage, 100-115V Working Voltage

.....I can not find anything about this feature in the welder documentation.

On all the units I have received, the 110/220 VAC units had a label on them that stated it.

I'll have to check with the office as I am not sure on this question and I run everything on 220vac, but this is a very good question.

I checked the back of the welder, and it says it is 110/220 VAC. However, there is nothing that says what wires go where (on the plug), or if something needs to be done to switch between 110 or 220 VAC.

What color wires are on it. blue or white or black are normally neutral. The unit should have auto-detect as well if it does 110vac. Ground is green or green/yellow
