FYI: PP50, PP80, IMIG-200, IMIG-250P, 210EXT and 255EXT.
It clogs the pressure pot instantly. The siphon gun works ok but I have to put my finger over the nozzle and pull the trigger to clear it often.

Mine has been driving me nuts, same thing (symptom, not cause) I'll have to look closer to see if that's what's doing it. I cut one of my hoses to about 10" and just manipulate the gun around to siphon up grit, no screen in my cabinet because it kept clogging. I'd love to find a way to get it to feed proper, third gun and two different siphon tubes just love to clog.

On a siphon cabinet at an old job I always had to do the finger thing. Then I copied the air setup from the Zero Blast N Peen we had at school. It had a small aux air line right after the foot valve that went down and kept things mixed up right at the siphon tube entrance. Worked like a charm. I put in a needle valve to adjust the flow. I haven't done this to my present cab, because the air valve is on the gun, but I will, someday. It gets old unclogging the tube. And even with super dry air it seems like some things just like to pack up. I miss the foot valve, too. Gets old holding the trigger all the time. Projects, projects. the more I finish, the longer the list becomes. Reading this stuff just reminds me of more stuff I should do.
Long arc, short arc, heliarc and in-the-dark!
Thanks for the info, looks like I have two new additions to my project list, copying the air feed and building a foot valve And I desperately need an air dryer; a bead dryer would turn pink in a day though, need to dig around a bit for a better one than what I have.

People rave about those Franzinators. I haven't built one yet, but I have a new compressor installation on the list that I will probably try it on. I'm too cheap to spring for a refrigerated dryer on my nickle.
