    Well, that is certainly interesting.

What are your plans / ET Goals with it? I assume it is just made to have something "different"?

    Is it a decent motor?

Don’t know the new rules for V8 drag bike racing for the new year yet but the engine is restricted to 396 cubic inches and the speed was 205 MPH 1/4 mile but the new distance of 1000 ft. will change things.

Where do you run them? CMDRA? What ET do they run?

Do you just dump the front bank exhaust out to the sides?

That's just crazy wicked. I saw the title of the post and figured it would be just a scale model .... Man, that is a BEAST!
Is it OK to want to break something just so that you can weld it back together?

What is the saying? Because I can?

I have to say, that is something. Be safe and good welds only.

I would love to make passes on something like that ... I think I would be more concerned with stopping than anything else ... Our top fuel and pro fuel Harley riders in AHDRA started using chutes a couple years ago since a few have gone off the end of the track. They're hitting 230 mph in the low sixes (still 1/4 mile unlike NHRA that has cut 320 feet for nitro).

Stopping distances on some tracks is too short for high speed stuff. Some tracks are more than adequate for stopping pretty much anything. I usually cut gas just a bit after the 1000' on shorter shutdown tracks when testing mine.

My closest track is Woodburn, it’s the track I use the most … it’s got a fairly good shut down but the owners of the land around it don’t really appreciate the track (Farmland) so they won’t sell the track owner a little bit of space at the top end. There isn’t a sand pit the track kinda just butts up to the farmer’s field and if you can’t shut down there’s no retaining system and you kinda do some plowing. AHDRA runs nitro bikes but NHRA doesn’t run nitro cars there … alcohol yes but not nitro and I think it's partly for that reason.
