A 40 amp breaker would not work at my shop on the 250EX as I was getting 208 volts off the 3phase supply and the inrush would pop the breaker, so I had to run over reset the breaker and run back and turn on the 250Ex again so it would run before the capacitators bleed down,,,,worked fine once I got it started,,,,took me a while to figure out that 208 volts requires a larger breaker on the supply side for the in rush demand of the machine...if I had 220 or 240 volts a 40 amp breaker would be fine...
