Thread: pp256 set up

  1. Default pp256 set up

    my pp256,water cooler and cart is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. any suggestions on set up welcomed.

    You might want to search this forum for various options to hook up the argon supply and compressed air. Since you need to swap those between TIG and plasma, it's nice to have some way to do that without unclamping hoses from barbs. Some have used quick connects, others individual valves or a three way valve, etc. This can be attached to your cart or not. It's not a good idea to run the argon through the water trap, as it could pick up moisture, that is for the compressed air for plasma. You can also find a lot of topics about basic machine settings for different materials.

    im thinking of using a Y connector and i have made an air dryer ( like on welding tips and tricks) that i plan to hook to the machine so that both the compressed air and argon will be dryed.

    after getting a look at my unit i think ill follow your lead and hook mine up the same as yours.
