    Default Newbie intro

I'm Scott and I'm new to the forum. I'm a long time drag racer and have been TIG welding for a number of years at a hobbyist level. I've been using a Miller Syncrowave 180 machine, but I've wanted an inverter machine for a long time but could never afford one. I found the Everlast Machines through Jody at WeldingTipsandTricks.com and he seems to have had good luck with the machines, though many "purists" seem to knock any of the imported machines. The plain fact is, I would have bought a Miller if I could have afforded it, but they are out of my price range. I'm hopeful my new PowerPro 256 machine will be a worthy investment. I'm about to find out.

Hi Scott, welcome to the forum! There are quite a few people here who like to "go fast" so you are in good company. Cheers!
Is it OK to want to break something just so that you can weld it back together?
