Customer Support / All,
Hi. I have a PowerPro 205, purchased earlier this year and suddenly, the foot pedal stopped working properly for TIG welding. I was in the middle of a job. Stopped the arc, repositioned the piece, pressed pedal to resume welding and it was broken. -Simple as that. When depressed, the the spark is jumpy and erratic and has no power. The unit works fine when the torch switch is used in either 2T or 4T mode. With 2T mode with the pedal, it's broken. I called and a new foot pedal was sent under warranty. It arrived today and it's worse than the original one. When depressed, nothing happens at all -doesn't even trigger the pre-flow. Switch back to the old one and it triggers the pre-flow but gives the erratic arc. Still works properly from the torch switch.
Don't want to take anything apart possibly voiding the warranty. Where do we go from here?
Thanks
Ray
