Time to dip it in acid!!
The first thing that I thought was that the nice shiny restored wood bed wouldn't really go with a patinaed body, but then I remembered this bad boy:

    and sorta changed my mind.
Penncrest Buzzbox - Infinite amp control! Man the 70's were good.
Everlast Powerplasma 60 - Reliable unit, cuts well.
Everlast i-MIG 250P w/spoolgun - Really smooth, plenty of cajones.
Everlast 250EXT - Sometimes it just takes a kick in the balls...
Everlast 255EXT - Just started playing

The bed is very easy to pull out so if it does look goofy I can change it pretty easy.

I tried to rough up the paint for an aged look but I still didn't like the look.....

Now I'm letting it rust before I seal the body. This was about two hours after I stripped the paint, should look pretty good by monday.

    Default A few progress pics....

I didn't like the look of the truck as a rusty heap so I've re-painted a little and will continue the rust process.... it's trial and error so who know's what I'll end up with.

I painted a "Ford" on the tailgate...

I wanted a logo on the door but couldn't really think of anything...ended up with this implied airplane or airport type logo.
I'm thinking I might need to add some paint/rust to the headlights and a few other areas for a little contrast...!?!?

talked to a local vinyl guy and he is able to print the "Ford Motor Co." logo on the picture above so that will be the final logo.

Finally had my logo stickers made for the doors.

This was the photo shopped version...

And this is the new logo sticker on the door.... It's a little smaller than I wanted so I might have them enlarged.

That's way too cool. If you put this much work into a model, i can't wait to see what it looks like when you build a full-size rod!
    so awesome.
