Thread: New Customer

  1. Default New Customer

After a few years of searching, and endless amount of time trying to decide what machine to get, I've pulled the trigger and ordered the 200DX.

Should be here this Thursday, can't wait.

I know a few have mentioned here about Jody at Welding tips and tricks.com, take the time to visit his site, great person and great information!

Alex was a true professional dealing with me and all my mis-information, so for that, I have already passed the question of the help Everlast is willing to do to help a person out with their questions.

After all the help and information, I do think it is very important to be honest with yourself on what will you be doing with the welder. I fell into the same thought process as I think we all do that, bigger is always better. After I thought about what my plans were, that was a big step in focusing on what size machine to look for.

I'm looking forward to working with Everlast, so far, I'm pleased with them.

I am of the same thought process you were in on deciding between the 200DX and the 250EX. Most of my Aluminum welding will be 1/4" or less. I antisapate there will be times for the need to weld 1/2" so there is when bigger is better. I also feel the 250EX has more functionalty than the 200 DX. Will I ever use it all, probably not however better to have it than not. Unfortunatly I have never used TIG let alone on Aluminum so I am at a disadvantage.

You will love the 200DX. I have one. Works flawlessly. I have a few hours on the machine too. Welcome.

I started out with a 200dx and it is a solid machine. I sold it and moved up to a 225lx and I like it just as much. Maybe one day I will move up to the 250ex.
