I have a Huntsman nitro that I got for $120 or so. Works Great, Absolutely loved it until I had the chance to score a Speedglas 9100X. Now the Speedglas takes it, hands down. I'll still pull out the huntsman for guests, or if I need to do a stick job with my face RIGHT in there, but for most everything else, it's the Speedglas. Plus, I ordered the back hood for $30.00. It clips to the top edge of the helmet and minimizes the glare from behind. Great idea. I tried on a new ESAB helmet with "true color", That may be my next purchase.

The 2 models are both large view and regular filter sizes and the feedback is very positive on them so far. The actuall production of these helmets are slated for February sometime with certifications being done at the same time or perhaps a little longer but things are looking very positive for getting these as a decent priced good quality helmet.
The nice thing for working with this is the North American Office is located in Toronto and this makes it simple for me to deal with them.
Hey Duncan, any updates on this mystery helmet? Don't see anything on the everlast.ca site, yet. Still intrigued by the dual range function, and still wondering if low range is autodarkening or fixed. Thanks.

I have a red flame HF that ha served me well. My eyesight is now beginning to fade a little so I bought a Viking 3350 and was amazed at the viewing area , clarity and adjustability. The comfort is above average but not awesome (ala speedglass). It is/was well worth the 230 bucks spent at my LWS. I am a hobby welder...

HTP Striker CSV. 130 or 140 can't remember. Messed around with a digital elite in the lab and although the headgear is better nothing else is. This one has been punished for the last few months at school and still working well. Everything from low voltage DC tig to overhead stick welding. Pretty happy with it.
