PT200DX arrived early

Couldn't wait to get home last night after work to see the new arrival. The machine wasn't due to arrive until Thursday. Hoping that the package was not damaged and that all the pieces were shipped. The box wasn't to bad, a couple puncture spots, but looked as if UPS took good care of the package. Opened the box and pulled the accessory box out to check for damage and all was well. The flow meter was in good shape, but it's box was smashed. The starter consumable packet was included, one collet, one collet body (not sure what size they are), one short and one long torch back caps and two #4 ceramic cups. The WP26 torch, as most have said does feel big, but I'll keep it until I can save and get the 210 that other members have suggested. Going to head out tonight and get the plug and hopefully be able to try it out this weekend. So far, very happy with Everlast. Have a great Holiday Season!!!

Maybe materials and "knowhow"? It's the same for me. I still have to tig with my PA140ST. Bought a regulator early last week but still need argon. That's harder to source for a resource deprived fellow like me. Dropped by the LWS and found they lease bottles for 90/year for a 40cf one. They only sell the 40cf bottles and that's about 230 CAD for bottle and fill. Some may scoff at those prices but that's a lot for me. So now I'm trying to find another cylinder used on kijiji or craigslist. That's the materials aspect.

The knowhow / skill that I definitely lack didn't stop me. And I'm still bumbling my way through it. Rambozo is right though. It's the willingness to do/learn that's the ultimate determiner. Alsobeing comfortable with others critiquing the welds. Don't be afraid of that. Everybody starts somewhere. Nobody here is going to flame you for slag inclusion. Not so with a lot of other forums, I've visited.
