    Smile Hi all,new guy here.

    Hi all you fine peeps.
I have been a welder since 1977, I weld now for 8 hours a day.
I work for a manufacturing place called Barton Manufacturing, Decatur,Illinois.
I weld triple pass,12 millimeter welds, then I give them a toe treatment.
I am looking forward to learning new ways and learning new stuff.

Opps, just about forgot, I just ordered a new Everlast I-MIG 205.
Looking forward to getting it )))))))))))

Hey, Mark, got crossed up with that other post. Welcome to the forums! Just for laughs I looked up Barton Mfg, looks like a robust operation. Congrats on the new machine!

In my book a nice place to work trumps higher pay. I've worked in places I didn't like and it was like being tortured every day. Those are weeks in my life I'll never get back ....

Welcome to the forum Markcuda. Congratulations on ordering the 205.

Hi, Mark, I'm new here too. I agree that in the long run a good place to work makes up for a little less pay. I left a job that I liked and went with the money for a while but then got a chance to go back and took it. It just depends on your financial situation and the economy at the time. The great thing about this trade is that you can drag up and find a job pretty easy if you have the skills. Ed

    Cool

Yup Ed, my boss is a good guy, easy going, peeps are late all the time, not a big deal to him.
    All in all, I'm happy
