Thread: 205 tig problem???

    Default 205 tig problem???

    well i just got a 205 not long ago and went to set up the tig to try it out for some steel body for my car and just under front cover i see some arcing under there? i switched to ac to check it on alum on a 1/4' pc just to see and it seems like its not putting out all the power?

    Where is the arc ? If it's under the top left part of the louvers on the front, that's the high frequency points working normally. If it's somewhere else you'll need to call the tech line tomorrow.

    i will have to have a better look but i think it could be in that area.is there 1 or 2 sets of points back in there? thanx i will check and let you know what i see

    One set... they make the buzzing sound when you start an arc.

    ok looks like it is just the points as far as i can see so i think it all good then
