Gee I hope thyat you got your reply on this cause I also had same problem. Found it that is was a Post Gas Switch. The switch allows up to 2.5 seconds or 5.0 seconds of cooling air on the tip of the cutter once the cutter trigger is released.

s for that Owner's Manual!! Its one of the worst I have ever read. Very Vaque on parts in box/assembly and use of the plasma cutter. They clain there is a nnew and improved manual coming soon,

yea the owners manual leaves alot of info out that we need to know. just as well not even have one. Hopefully there will be a new one out soon i need it.

    Sorry for the delay..

That is the post air flow time in seconds. When you release the torch trigger, air will continue to flow for 2.5 or 5 seconds to clear any last molten metal.

There will be a new manual within a day for two. Alex will have the web team post them.

All current manuals are located at http://www.everlastwelders.com/manuals

Can you send a picture of the front unit you are talking about? I will see what I can do.

Yeah the new manual (PDF) is much better!

I had problem with my power switch. I'm quite confident in my electrical capabilities, I took apart the switch. I found the reason it wont shutoff is do to arcing causing the contact plates to weld together (stick in the "on" position). I caused the arcing by shutting off the switch to slow. It is relatively simple to fix. I took a picture of were the wires go, just in case, then unhooked them.

    I LOVE plasma

The small red OC light is the over current light and should not be on unless you run the unit past its duty cycle and over heat the machine.
