Hi everyone,
Just got my PowerTig 250ex and am glad to be back in the tig world. I originally learned 8 years ago when I participated in the Human Powered Vehicle team at University of Hartford. They had a Miller Syncrowave 250dx and we constructed the entire frame out of 1.5" aluminum tube. It was a great experience and really gave me the welding bug!
5 years ago I bought a ESAB Mig welder to assist in my other passion: tinkering with cars. It has been a great machine but I still was longing for the freedom of tig and being able to do aluminum and stainless.
I have the machine all set up in my garage and are just waiting on a DINSE adapter for my air-cooled torch before I can really delve into what this machine can really do!
Looking forward to bringing the gas bottles back for refills
