How does the tig foot pedal work?
I assume you get 100% amperage range from it. But what is the knob on it for? Does it set the max amps you can get from the pedal?

How old is it? The new ones no longer have the knob on the pedal, so I would check that you have the right pedal for your machine. Give support a call, and I'm sure they can check for you. You could probably do a quick test to see if the panel control is functional with the pedal plugged in. That would tell you that you have the wrong pedal.

Panel control functional??? What do you mean here? I think the manual says the when you plug the pedal in, the front panel controls are not supposed to work, right?
The machine was bought in Australia btw.
Another thing, has it been known for the pulse feature to stop working on these units?
Ok, I won't even factor a guess on what version is current for Australia. I have seen that there are differences for that market. I'm sure if you give Everlast Australia a call they will be able to answer all of your questions.
In the US there has been a design change so there are no longer knobs on the pedals for that model. Yours may very well use the knob type. The manual that came with the unit is probably your best source of info for something like that. What I meant was that if the panel control works even with the pedal plugged in, you have the new style, and need a pedal with no knob. If the panel control doesn't work with the pedal plugged in, you need the pedal with the knob. The 200DX has been changed over the years so even though the model number is the same, there are really a few different machines that wear that number, with slight differences in design and features.

Not sure when you bought it, but Bob can help you out there.
