    Default Firetruck Loft bed....

Finally I'm finished!! This is a birthday present for a friends 4 yr. old son.
His dad is a firefighter and his son Tyler says "I have Everything to be a firefighter Except a fire truck" so I built him a firetruck!!
It will have FIRE/RESCUE stickers and a Maltese cross along with a license plate that says Tyler.

Looks awesome. You probably shoudl tell him his Dad helped too or else he is going to start lowering his admiration for his Dad and start liking you more. :-)

That is one lucky kid. Mighty nice project but then again your projects are always top notch. You know. My birthday is coming up and I've always wanted to be a race car driver .. LOL!

Race cars are more what I'm into so I would give it the "West Coast Customs" treatment!! OR, maybe the pimp my ride treatment with a fur liner, motorized pop up drink mixer, chrome spinners!!! WooHoo...

Make sure you explain the responsibilities of owning a fire truck to this kid though! Washing and waxing on a weekly basis, routine maintenance, etc....And don't forget to remind him that every firetruck needs a Dalmatian to ride along in! His parents will LOVE you for putting that idea in his brain. Haha

In all seriousness, very cool! I always like working with lumber since there's never any polishing, welding, or intricate work involved like there is when working with metal! What's that saying about "Putty and paint make me the carpenter I ain't"???

Is the grille made from mild steel and painted? It turned out great and matches everything well!

Pimping up a ride is OK but I think I'd pass on the fur and spinners ... LOL.
