Default Mystery question of the day - foot pedal for PP50 & euro connect?

I am patiently waiting for my PP50 to get delivered, and during this time I have been pondering different jigs and holders for the torch.

One of my upcoming projects is going to involve cutting 120 linear feet of box tubing into 18" sections and I have a sort of table saw plan in mind where the torch will be suspended above the box tubing and I can push the box tubing under the torch to make the cuts using a fence and stop guide for equal length cuts.

The PP50 has a euro connect, so how would I build a simple on/off foot pedal instead of trying rubberband the trigger? More to point, is this possible?

Hooking a on/off switch to the euro connector will work just fine.
Pins 1 and 2 are for on/off they are the pins located on either side of the square locator pin on the connector.
You will need to switch to the CNC position on the front panel for it to work with another switch then the torch switch.
a simple spring loaded momentary switch worked by your foot will work great.
I would also put wheels on the torch to keep the distance correct for cutting like you said (above the metal) as you push your metal.

If I was doing what you want. I'd do it this way, Take one wire coming off the torch switch and run it thru a micro on - off switch. Gum band the torch switch open and step down on your foot pedal. Torch should fire and be controlled by the foot pedal. Now if you want to use the torch switch for control. Lock down the foot pedal and control the torch with the finger switch on the torch.

That's what the CNC feature is for. You can lock the trigger on by simply pressing the torch button to start and release to continue to cut.

I'd rather be able to have it turn off after each cut while I rotate or slide the box tube for the next cut so I don't overheat the unit.

OK - my PP 50 arrived yesterday (second attempt, sans consumable kit - but were getting closer ). I really should try to do an unboxing picture report for those interested in this unit. Quite a bit different than the website detail.

It does have the CNC port on the back, so that may help a great deal in making a foot pedal switch.

I want to say that somewhere in my aimless wondering that I saw a pin-out chart of the CNC port in this forum, but that was a rabbit hole path I was on and doubt I will find it again.

Which two (or three) ports on the CNC would act as the torch on/off?
