Thread: A shout out from N Michigan!

  1. Default A shout out from N Michigan!

    Hey there guys and gals,

New guy from N Michigan. Retired but giving a go at earning a little milk and bread monies with my welding hobby. Been doing a little mobil repair and trying to get the shop better set up for more and bigger jobs there. I have a older stick welder and a smaller mig welder. Researching a bigger mig machine now to be able to give a go at aluminum. Looks like a nice friendly forum to spend some time so I joined up.

    Welcome again Bill,

See your other thread for what I recommended, the IMIG-200. The IMIG-205P is my next choice, but a bit heavier and not so mobile. Look at the IMIG-200 and my last post to you here: http://www.everlastgenerators.com/fo...go-at-aluminum

Also, here is a used one for sale, talk to Oleg about transferring the warranty? They are tough little units. Call 877-755-9353 ext 201 for the best retail price when you are ready to buy.

A lot of good feedback on that mig welder. Sean Murphy has a few videos on his welder, I believe. There's one where he puts down a really nice bead effortlessly with his welder.

    Bill,

What did you decided? If you're still hung up, call our tool free number and get Mark or I (ext 203 or 204) on the phone for more info. The forum is good reading, but sometimes when you are spending your hard earned money, a call makes one feel better.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! Still knocking around this and that. I'm not in much of a hurry as I'm waiting on the weather to break here before I go full speed ahead. I still have two foot of snow in the back yard where my pole barn is and I don't have the heat finished up yet. Seems the older I get the less I like being in the cold. Thanks again, Bill
