Looking for advice on a entry level mig machine to give a go at aluminum.

Hi,
Been adding some paid jobs to offset some of my welding costs. I have a nice stick machine and a smaller 110v mig welder that I use for sheet metal. I would like to be able to do a bit of aluminum repair and fabrication. Looking for a entry level mig welder that would allow me to do this. Thought I would ask here and see what advice you might be able to pass my way! To be blunt, I would like get a machine that will do the job but not break the bank.

I've been using and a part of Everlast for many years now and the one unit I have never let go is the IMIG-200.

Small (portable), runs on 220/30amps (5500+ watt generator so portable welding with flux core). Add a spool gun and 4043 wire and you are doing aluminum as well. We have done aluminum trailers, john boats, etc with no problem (not always as pretty as TIG, but works fine).

If I had to pick from any unit I have had and bang for the buck, that would be my pick. Make sure you get a spool gun (for aluminum wire and flux core). You can later move the gun to the 205P upgrade when you are ready to move up. But I bet you keep the IMIG-200 even then.

Also, note you will need two tanks of gas, argon for aluminum and you CO2/argon mix for steel. But you'll be a pretty much one stop shop and keep some cash in your pocket.
