Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum here. I am a recent graduate with a Associate of Applied Science Degree in Welding Technology and moved back to my hometown in MA. I have been on the look out for jobs in the area but haven't had much luck yet. I have come to realize a degree in this field doesn't mean much, if anything. It's all about experience... In that case, I have decided to outfit my garage into a Weld shop and get my own equipment. More for practice and keeping my skills up while on the job hunt. I have shopped around and decided that on my budget and what I am looking for, an Everlast welder seems to be the right choice.
I am currently deciding between the 2013 PowerTig 250ex or the PowerPro 256. I got some questions about my decision but I'll post that in a thread more suited for it.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas and hopefully I can reciprocate.
