The manual indicates that the pedal is the type that overrides the panel control, and without the knob on the pedal, so it always has full range control. Dual voltage also gives you dual ranges for the pedal, so you can have fine control with lower power or full range. 10 seconds of post flow should handle most of what you would weld with this machine. For the few places where that might not be enough, you can always tap the pedal to get another 10 seconds before the timer runs out.
If you want more features, the new 200DX-D is a dual voltage model as well. It's listed on the Canadian website where you can get the details.
I find having a 120 volt TIG welder is incredibly handy. I've used it in all kinds of places. I recently took it into an office and welded a broken leg on a huge L shaped desk right in place. The job took maybe 15 minutes from start to finish, by myself. To empty the desk, haul it out to the shop, repair it, and put it back, would have been hours and hours, and required at least two people to get it up and down the stairs.
