Default Hello... Yes, another New guy from Michigan

    Hi everyone,

I'm Mat. I live in the Howell/Brighton area of Michigan. I'm getting back into welding as a hobby, so I'm here to learn about the Everlast company and its machines. I also hope to benefit from the experience of seasoned welders in this forum.

I have an oxy-acetylene set up with Smith torches. I'm pretty much only using that to cut and heat stuff for repairs. I did some stick welding as a kid with an old Lincoln Buzz Box.

I plan on buying a mig welder in the near future, and a tig, and a plasma cutter, and I guess I should pick up a stick welder while I'm at it. That's a pretty slippery slope.

Looking forward to talking to everyone.

    -Mat

You might want to look at the new MTS250S units. If you want good MIG, stick and TIG performance. But it won't weld aluminum in tig, but you can with MIG.

The MTS250S units are da bomb. If you go that route and want to weld aluminum, check out getting a spool gun too.
