I went with the 250 for two things, adjustbale arc force and hot start, and if I really wanted to Tig, it at the very least had lift start. The PA 300 is more power than I need and about $100+ more cash, the PA 200 is actually pretty good and great price but for about $100 I could get adjustable controls, 50 more amps, and lift arc, I even got a tig torch ala cheap! lol Now that you told me the itig does have hot start, even though it's not adjustable I'm the pulse is a big bonus for me!! I dont know what to do, lol Ive been at this all day, it's driving me nuts!

I would easily pull the trigger on the itig 200T with no hesitation if it were on amazon :-) I emailed you, maybe we can work something out? I can easily cancel the 250....

I think you called today and we explain to you that we can do 200T on amazon but you will need to pay 749$ OR 700$ if you buy from us directly
amazon takes too much fees. Also PayPal offers 6 month interest free , we can set it up for you

I'm thinking about it, but not because I of what some people have said, as I like to make up my own mind on things, but because I now have confirmation the itig 200 has hot start! lol I am HEAVILY debating it.

@Oleg I wasn't 100% sure that it was you, I thought I heard Alex. I can't step outside of the amazon bounderies as much as I would like to, and as much as I really want the machine I simply cant stretch my self that thin, as I still need to buy a foot peddle, and argon tank. The itig 200 for $579 is looking pretty good, I'm thinking I might cancel the 250 nab one now that the Hot start issue has been explain to me! lol there is nothing more absolutely frustrating to me then to get in position have the sucker stick on me!!

I see you have the 160 on amazon, think something could be worked out on that unit? As I have never used over 160 amps at school, and that because we do heavy pipe welding, we run the root pass with a 6010 1/8 @ 70-85 amps, with a 3/32 gap, 3/32 landing, then hot pass with the 7018 @ 85-90 amps, then fill and cap it with 7018 1/8 at about 125-130... that's about the hottest ive ran, this was using a lincol synwave, so I dont know if this make a big difference?

Not meant to be condescending but a truthful statement of surprise. You have been dealing with at least two people at Everlast and discussing different buying from different purchase points, and going between Oleg and me for several days, working us back and forth with many notes, phone calls and emails over several different products...which is our job...but I have spent a lot of time answering emails, and other things even after my working hours, and then without even mentioning to us this 250 was in the equation, and out of nowhere you tell us well, I purchased a Longevity. And what I said is there in black in white on Tractor By Net in detail... If anything, it's just a little frustrating, nothing more meant than that.

Mark, I certainly didn't mean to frustrate you, I'm exited that I am finally getting my first welder, AND I know how to use it (school). You have absolutely been very helpful in answering my questions, over several different forums ;-) However, I belive I called twice today, and the first call was to leave a voice mail... when I spoke with someone (Oleg) I didn't know that at the time, as I thought I heard his name was alex. We went over some options but it was very hard to understand oleg, his accent and it sounded like he was in a factory of some sort.

" working us back and forth with many notes, phone calls and emails over several different products" certainly wasn't "working" anyone with most of my question right here on the forum and 2 PMs to you, I believe one email, and a question on a youtube video, but if you felt worked by me, my apologies, I should have just called and spoke with you but being on the phone for me is very hard, bad reception sometimes mixed with screaming kids I have to keep my eye on makes this a very frustrating action for me no joke! lol

"then without even mentioning to us this 250 was in the equation, and out of nowhere you tell us well, I purchased a Longevity. And what I said is there in black in white on Tractor By Net in detail... If anything, it's just a little frustrating, nothing more meant than that."

I can see where your coming from, I should have mentioned it, however I explain my thought process behind that decision, by no means is it set in stone, but the money to performance ration was best with that one unit, as the PA 3000 was to much and the PA 200 lacked a few things that I would like to have, a bell and whistle one can say, I don't think anyone can blame me for that. I have looked at a lot of units. There is about 5 units on my list 3 which are everlast and 2 from other brands, the units I can realisticlly afford, I would love to have you top of the line unit ;-) but the 3 I can afford that I would like are the itig 200, PA 300, and the PA 160 sth, to make things more complicated for me is the whole amazon part of the equation! The 2 other units are the L250 and the tigweld 160 ex, however at the $600-$700 range, I might be over reaching as this unit is to practice outside of school, and will not e used to make money with or make any sort of repairs with... lol so I think I laid out "me" on the table here... I didn't mean to rub anyone the wrong way or "work" anyone, over even overwork anyone, you simply have a new, exited, unsure, low budget customer on you hands! :-) rest assured that as time passes when I start working (4 months away from receiving my degree and joining the pipeline and about a year away from opening a small shop with my brother) you will have a loyal return customer with a MUCH bigger budget. Customer service is everything to me man....

Yet somehow, I feel guilty for "working" you guys, I don't believe a customer should be made to feel guilty no matter what the situation is. Even if I kept the 250, I was still trying to figure out a way to get the Everlast welder I wanted! hence me asking about the financing options that were available.. since I have good credit.

Also, as far as the 250s you mentioned having trouble, 2 units is hardly a standard, I'm sure you fellas have a few units that started malfunctioning here and there, the important part of that statement was that they were being sent in for repair, which means to me that the company is willing to fix the product, thats awesome, I would expect nothing less from any company I deal with, now OR in the future. Oleg worked out a deal for me, and if anything happened to the unit with in 5 years, I wouldn't base my review of the unit on the failure I would review the unit based on how well the company took care of it.

I would also like to point out you never answered ANY emails to me, so you might have me confused without someone else, which is understandable, I'm sure you guys get bombarded by a ton of questions daily.

You have been extremely helpful and it was because of that, that I was still trying to figure out a way to get the EL unit. :-) I need some sleep, lol I'm getting grumpy, my one year old isn't helping.

    Night all.

Maybe I should elaborate on my last post :-)

Oleg set up the deal for me on amazon, and called me, I talked to him for a good bit and apologized. I thought that showed a lot, and absolutely appreciate good customer service. I'm a person with a large heart, and little things like that mean a lot to me. I always try, and I stress this TRY, to see it from another persons point of view, I think this has helped me make many friends in life, people that would have otherwise may not have been.

I look forward to making some good youtube videos showing some pipe welding, the same stuff were doing in school, all positions. Any guys that want to pipe weld and dont have the opportunity to go to school, I hope I can help a bit, and offer some pointers for how to get loans, and financial aid.

So thank you once again Oleg.

Just to clear a few points
The New Power arc 200st is lift tig / stick with dual voltage capability and auto hot start( factory set no adjustment ) it is not supplied with a tig torch as this is optional.running on 110v it has max output of 125 amps and is ideal for 6010 rod
The new Itig 200T has both arc force adjustment , hot start time adjustment and hot time amps percentage 9 memory Chanell and 2.9 amp DC low 200amp high .
I find with the I tig 200 T it needs a little more amps to run the 6010 but this is just me and I am by no means any type of expert on 6010 rods.

Thanks for the clarifications, Duncan. I'm glad to hear from your personal tests. It's nice to know that someone actually burned a rod or two, and didn't just parrot the spec sheet. I did notice that on the CA website for the 200T that 6010 is not recommended. Will that be removed? Also Oleg mentioned that dual voltage was scheduled to be an option on this model in the summer. Is that still on track for summer roll out? It's great that you give everyone the heads up on the new models and features. It would be nice if it didn't take so long to update the website. I usually find new stuff hitting the CA website before the COM.

    You guessed it. :-)

I want to clarify that I didn't get the longevity 250 only because my really wanting the Tig portion, I thought the machine looked solid and longevity customer service was impeccable.

I went with the itig because its a newer model, it has 90% of what I want, and the pulse feature, I mean not very many welders have pulse in this price range. :-)

Looks good... got argon? Or will you be starting off with 6010s?

Setting up the account on Monday for the argon, I'm not in a big hurry since the unit won't ship till Monday. I'll run some 6010 5p+ on some open root pipe, if she performs well, she's a keeper.
