Thread: Dinse connectors??

  1. #1

    Default Dinse connectors??

I have a 50' WP20 torch that I want to use with my everlast 225lx. I thought I could just cut the 35-70 dinse connector off the old torch and put my good torch on. WRONG!

I completely butchered the torch power end of the connector. Where can I buy new connectors at for the power end, not the ground end??

I need a new connector. That is the male end that goes onto the end of the power/water for my torch. I took it off my short torch that came with my everlast, and want to hook my 50' one up from my Lincoln TIG that isd mounted to my trailer.

You are going to need to get a new connector end. The connector is toast...not salvageable unless you have the equipment to make it work.

You sure do need a new one.

While it's easy to change the ends on the argon and water hoses, the power/water return cable typically has factory installed ends. The water flow and power connection makes it a combination soldered and crimped end that isn't easy to get right. If the flow is restricted too much, the cable will burn up. You can order a new replacement cable for the one you "butchered". As far as hooking up your long torch, the best way is with the correct fitting. If you have a standard 7/8"-14LH power end on your torch, you can get a DINSE adapter like this.

You can also get a DINSE to stud to use the old power block style.
