I passed the state steam card test!!!!

Thank you everyone for your help during this very stressful time. I took the Oklahoma state steam card test today and passed. It was 2" schedule 80 tig root and hot pass then 7018 cap. The welder was a miller and it was older than me and welded hot as heck. They said it was a late 60's or early 70's model. My root pass and hot pass was at 60 amps and still had to move fast. And for the cap I had it at 65 amps to start and by the last stringer i had it down to 50 amps. I think they need to update their welders a little, lol. Anyway all and all it went pretty good. Thanks again for all the helpful info. This is a great forum.

Forgot to mention it was a bend test. Also it was in the 6G position and their welding arm wasn't as fancy as mine. I had to tack weld the pipe at a 45 degree.

Thank you. I guess practicing my butt off everyday for the last 5 months paid off. My Wife told me that I need to take the kids fishing this weekend to celebrate.
