Congrats on the expansion of your family.

Those are some pretty good looking specs, nice full range for all the parameters. AC and DC stick, that's cool. And thanks for the 225A top end, that extra is always nice to have.
Penncrest Buzzbox - Infinite amp control! Man the 70's were good.
Everlast Powerplasma 60 - Reliable unit, cuts well.
Everlast i-MIG 250P w/spoolgun - Really smooth, plenty of cajones.
Everlast 250EXT - Sometimes it just takes a kick in the balls...
Everlast 255EXT - Just started playing

Good catch. I didn't even see that the top end for stick was 225A. That makes the stick duty cycle even better - 60% @ 225A

Congratulations Duncan! My wife and I are trying for our first grandchild, but we need more cooperation from our kids! They are not on that page yet.

Thank you for the pictures, please keep the 255 updates coming! The printed specs look real good, and after seeing them I have a couple of questions.

1 - Is AC stick mode being provided? The 250ext was only DC in stick mode. I do like having more choices

2 - Will Pulse amps be set as an amperage value, or as a % of welding amps? I can't tell as both seem indicated by looking at the panel and the spec sheet.

3 - Is Balance really going to be "5% to 80% of Elecrode +" ? 95% to 20% EN is quite a range.

    Thanks,
    Jim

First I just want to thank the well wishers for our newest family member that I hope to be meeting in person within the next few days.
Nick jean is her usual self and is on top of everything as is normal. She went to visit our granddaughter yesterday after work and I was able to see a video of her using Skype
    Back to the welder
For the easy start menu we changed the setting to end amps 5 amps for Ac and 3 amps for DC
The pulse amps were set as a value and not percentage but this has been changed to a 1% to 99 % pulse amp range and the AC balance has been modified to 5 to 90 %
As for stick function it is in fact 20 to 225 amp and is DC only
    Cheers
    Duncan

I assume it also has the latest style foot pedal? Also if so, does it have the same connector as the MTS200s and would it function with it since my MTS200s did not come with a foot pedal?

It will have the Chinese pedal that is current use. There is a very limited pool of factories that make a foot pedal in China. The SSC pedal is available as an upgrade.

Oleg, are these being ordered as flex head torches as well instead of straight head?

Awww... I think the BEST accessories would be flex head. I personally would trade the 25ft cable for the flex head, at least on the 20.

Thank You Duncan for the clarification, all good news there. Those specs are really impressive, this machine is going to do stuff we have never seen before.

Oleg, Thank You, too, for the accessory upgrades and for providing an air cooled torch.

The vision is clearly coming to fruition. Thanks for sticking with it, and also to Mark, Mike, and all those in your organization, and Duncan's, that had a part in getting us to this point.

I look forward to seeing it in operation.

I like the 25' length of the torches.

It will also be nice to have an adjustable hot start for stick welding.

Overall, Looking good from here. Also, glad I opted for the upgrade to the 255, a bit of a wait but then again, miller is yet to come out with the Dynasty 280. Congrats to those who have worked on the 255 EXT, looking like the finish line is in sight.

I think the torches without flex heads are great for me I have one and never bent the head once in all the years I have used it, just put the short cap and shortest cup on it and have got into a lot of small places. The Super Flex lines and 25 foot lines I like. New ground clamp and stick hold sounds great also. Can wait to get the 255 myself.
What type of cover comes on the WP9 and WP20?

Very excited about the 255EXT, this has been a long arduous process for everybody on both sides, but thank you for your tenacious effort! The 250ext will soon be forgotten, but your legacy will be carried by the way you handled this. People will spread the word of this and business will boom! Your legacy as a company will be tied to this resolution. Thank you for bringing back the American way of standing behind your product!

Impressive, guys. Looks like you have taken a lot of the forum members' feedback into consideration on a number of counts, and I think it's going to show with a very popular product! We're really excited about this machine.

I was not happy with the initial settings for the easy start menu for both AC and DC . Here we finally had the programming so the finish weld time and downslope works smoothly and consistently down to 5 amps for AC and the 3 amp finish for DC
