Thread: Foot Pedal Options

  1. #1

    Default Foot Pedal Options

I just pulled the trigger on a PT185 and wanted to start a thread to sort of discuss foot pedal options for this unit as well as others.

    2013 Power Tig 200dx >> 47k ohm
    2013 Power Tig 250ex >> 47k ohm
    2013 PowerproS series >> 47k ohm

    2013 Power Ultra Series >> 22k ohm
    2013 Power Tig 185 >>22k ohm

Are SSC pedal options available for all of the above unit?

Is the only difference the Pot resistance between the models, i.e is the 22k PU pedal the same as the 22k PT185 pedal?

Additionally, is the 7 pin connector available separately?
I may need to clean out the garage of parts to get some extra play money to purchase a pedal to go along with the 185 and just wanted to see the options available, as well as have them in a public post for others who may have similar questions to see.

Any day on a motorcycle like this that ends just needing parts and labor is a good day.

    John,
The 7 pin connector is available. The pedal should be the same as the PU. SSC hasn't officially made one available to us for those units, though I am sure they can accommodate the request. Still will be only 0-185 amp control.
