Thread: 210 ext macked out

  1. Default 210 ext macked out

Hi my name is Paul . I'm a fabricator in Canada and I bought this 210 ext off usednanaimo.com and was happy with it but not with the stuff it came with so I upgraded my tortch to a weldcraft cs310. My foot pedal is a lincoln reworked with a 1k long neck potentiometer and a pigtale, everlast to lincoln. I also made a cart and a 220v pigtale to connect the water cooler. Just need a new flowmeter and a better ground clamp.Click image for larger version.

We haven't had any issues with the 210 torches or problems with the foot pedal. It's different than the other pedals. The correct ohm is 1500 on that unit I believe. Before you make any modifications such as that, you should clear it with Everlast Canada for warranty.

Since he bought it used from a third party, isn't the warranty gone? Or is Everlast CA different? It doesn't sound like he had problems with the accessories, just a matter of personal preference.

It looks like you have it all setup and decked out to your liking. I like the cart matching blue wheels. Is that short pigtail just so you can get power for the cooler?
Long arc, short arc, heliarc and in-the-dark!

Nice setup. You did a great job on the cart. Everything is nice and compact. Do you know what kind of work clamp you are going to get?

Ya I found the foot pedal a piece of junk it stopped working so I took it apart ,had to finish a job couldnt get it right so I smashed it and made my lincoln work. It is a a much nicer pedal for everyday use. And regarding the 220v pigtail ya there is no receptical on the machine.

Ya I have my eye on a clamp that I normaly use on my other welders,it takes a strong hand to squeez , I found my everlast likes a solid tight ground.

I still use the 210EXT (and the 250EX) with the stock torch. Going for a CK flex-loc soon. But the torch is a great air cooler torch other than the hose cover is a little stiff (rubber). Also, that's a new pedal for us and I have had no issues testing it, but I really do not use the pedal. It is lower than our previous pedal and has worked well for me when I used it.

I like the cart, green wheels would have put it over the top Great job. Post up some project with you have the time. I know it is hard when trying to get pay and get on the next one.
