Default New Rod from Parker AZ

Got my New Everlast 250 EX Tig welder Friday going to set it up and see how It works . I own a full machine shop in Parker Arizona so welder will get used almost every day . Will get allot of use since my machine shop dose air cooled VW engines and most VW heads need cracks welded .

Welcome Rodsmachinshop. I had two beetles and a camper (1963). The latter blew a head, had three sets of reduction gears and two engines. So I empathize with those folks you'll be helping. Oh yes, the last beetle developed a fuel leak at the carb and engulfed itself in flames. That was the last.

    Welcome Rod,

No VWs here, maybe in the next buggy. Tell if you need us.

I don't think they made near as many corvairs as they did bugs. So, I think you are safe.lol. Thanks to Nader.

But apparently he was concerned more about wheel bearings and axles than a fuel tank mounted in the fire wall......

And the air cooled part did not help with the engine in the back.

My first 2 cars were Corvairs! Great cars. I remember someone also made a kit to put the pancake 6 Covair engine in to a Bug. They would really fly with that set up.
