Mine is 66" by 24". Will only hold an elk or cow is cut in pieces. For me, smaller would have bee better, easier to move around. Last big one I made had a small trailer under it

Rocrat post up some pictures of the build. What are you using for ends? And base/wheels to move it.

That sounds perfect. Mine is a tad large, but at the time and price, it is what it is. 4' is plenty of space. I though the whole thing was smoke box, that is a party machine.

4 wheels are a must, trust me, seeing the back doc tomorrow (sucks getting old).

If you can, post up any sketches, web links or project pics so we can all get ideas for the next one. Seems if you have a welder, a grill or smoker pops up on occasion. We've repairs and built a quite a few, but probably build 5+ just for ourselves. Mark was (and probably still is) building them and selling them.

    Yep, just like that one...

But was about 34 feet shorter (on the trailer) and a single axle. Oh, 15 inch rims and tires. Oh only one smoke door (and no stairs/deck to load and unload it). Oh, no multimillion dollar sponsor and no serving kitchen on the back. Also no twitter and hash tag.

But other than that, it was black and had reflective tape... hahahaha..

    That is a nice one...

Hey Mike , I was just commenting on Travis' smoker , I don't have place on my boat for a smoker , just gotta build a fire pit on the beach and build the smoker outta banana leaves ,then lay back till the fish is done .

That works. I have seen (and been burnt by them) grills attached to a pole that fits in a rod holder. Maybe a smoker version...

Mine showed up today. 250ex, 300 cooler, cart. No apparent damage from ups. The cardboard box was hammered but the unit seems fine. Ill pick up the rest of the stuff needed to get started on Monday and test it out. After we all posted here waiting for them I felt obligated to inform everyone that it has arrived in what appears to be good shape. Come on Monday...

4th did yours come in multiple boxes ? Following UPS one package is due for me on Tuesday and the other Wednesday so I get to play on Thursday as Brown deliver late at night here. Talking to the driver a few weeks ago ,he said his hub in Ft Myers could hire 38 drivers immediately to get the load back to normal for them , but the company don't want to do it based on the false economy our leaders have created for us . He said he starts at 9 in the morning and gets home around 1.30 am the next morning after dropping the truck back at the hub . Poor guy nobody should have to stretch safety that far because of a company . The drivers are teamsters and have all put in grievances with their union and the company and still nothing is done till a driver kills a whole bunch of school kids in a bus because he fell asleep at the wheel . He said FedEx is going the same way .

3 boxes. Cart, 250ex, 300 cooler. Omg the wheels stink on that cart. It is getting weaker. I assume its the rubber they use on the treads. Just needs more shop dirt to cover it up, brings a whole new meaning to new cart smell.
    Come on Monday...

Our UPS lady is always mentioning how hard it is just to get her boss to spring for a new set of tires. I'm all for efficiency and making things last and such, but watching her come spinning up the driveway in the snow just makes you shake your head.

I thought the DOT had pretty stiff regs on how many hours a driver can put in. I wonder how they get around that.
Penncrest Buzzbox - Infinite amp control! Man the 70's were good.
Everlast Powerplasma 60 - Reliable unit, cuts well.
Everlast i-MIG 250P w/spoolgun - Really smooth, plenty of cajones.
Everlast 250EXT - Sometimes it just takes a kick in the balls...
Everlast 255EXT - Just started playing

I believe that only applies to people who require a CDL, a regular ups delivery truck does not. UPS drivers make over $30 per hour with excellent benefits... I wouldn't feel sorry for them if they had to deliver on a bicycle.

    RB,
My guy says they are only supposed to run 11 hrs a day ,but usually ends up 13 or more hrs a day by the time he gets back to the hub
Zoama , the guys deserve good safety no matter how much they earn , and most of them end up with back problems in retirement ,so if they do earn $30 an hr is it worth the issues later in life , I certainly wouldn't do it ,even for $50 an hr

They have it easy around here then, Christmas and vacation fill-ins are the only time they rack up OT like that.

Not to mention the fact that I share the same windy, snowpacked road with that big brown sail-on-wheels.

Trust me when I tell you UPS has it way better than most single unit truck drivers. I don't drive a truck anymore but I did for a long time and I'm still around them every day.
UPS drivers don't do anymore than the next guy, they just make 3 X the pay... at least in the southeast. They also get time and a half after 8 hours each day. $33 x 1.5 = $49.50hr

Avoiding back problems when get older would explain why some drivers like to roll heavier boxes from their truck to the doorstep ....

Well looks like UPS did it again. Two packages were scanned, one only 1 time (250 EX). The other, (the water cooler) multiple times. The welder was supposed to be here today. The cooler tomorrow. But a cute sounding girl behind the phone at Everlast took care of everything. And she also called it this afternoon, she said it was lost. Well atleast I will have a water cooler. Ill wax it up, fill it up, and pretend it is hooked up to the welder.
