Just got my PowerTig 200dx. Great price, build quality is outstanding.
The features for the price cant be beat. You can get the multi purpose tig/stick/plasma cutters for
a little less but I'm not really sure how well they can do all of that. All I wanted was a solid
ac/dc tig with freq. control, some of the high end units dont even have that and they cost a lot more.

Welcome to the forum, Geartech. I'm sure you'll really like the PowerTIG 200DX. It seems to be a really popular welder and I can easily see why. Please post some of your projects when you get a chance.

I'm in the process of building a 1000hp 911 turbo at the moment. I've got a lot of fab work and welding to do
on the intake pipes, intercoolers. I'll post the pics up when I start welding the parts up.

Welcome aboard. The multiprocess units are for light home/hobby use. I think you made a good choice on the 200DX (for car fab work), it is a nice solid machine. We are all looking forward to see you project when you have time to post up.
