I'm not complaining at all, just curious about the spool gun after kempy said his neck and nozzle were always hot on the same model spool gun. I'm gonna buy one soon.
Makes me think he might have exceeded the duty (200A@35%) and melted through the internal insulation. It might explain some of the problems he has been having and why it was fine when he first got it.
Since it has been said that this is basically the same gun as the Miller Spoolmate 200, that is further rated at 160A@60%. I can see how it might be easy to exceed that.
It might be time to produce a 300A spoolgun for some of the more powerful welders, like Lincoln does.
