Ask if you have any questions, and if time permits, post up some project pictures for us.

When I ordered the welder I think it comes with the bigger torch. Does everlast sell just the smaller torch body (wp20) that will fit up with the original torch lines.
You can order a WP20 from us, even CK. Or you can get a stubby kit for about $40-$70 US and have the best of both too. Everlastwelders.ca has the kits, there was just a post by Duncan in the last few weeks.

Welcome rwcme, hope you will enjoy the new acquisition. Most people seem quite happy with that model, plenty of cajones to handle most anything.
Penncrest Buzzbox - Infinite amp control! Man the 70's were good.
Everlast Powerplasma 60 - Reliable unit, cuts well.
Everlast i-MIG 250P w/spoolgun - Really smooth, plenty of cajones.
Everlast 250EXT - Sometimes it just takes a kick in the balls...
Everlast 255EXT - Just started playing
I got the cooler and welder, last week. The welder got lost in shipment, Katya sent another 1 out. The cooler arrived about a week before the welder did, without a scratch or dent. The welder arrived without a scratch or dent. I hooked them both up, powered both up. I havnt had time to weld with it yet, my parents are visiting, from New Hampshire. Have been spending all of my time with them. I only get to see them about 2 times a year. So the welder is on the back burner for about another week. But after the visit I will put the thing to good use.
Glad the shipping finally worked out, it's unfortunate that kind of thing happens. Maybe your Mom or Dad will want to see a welder demonstration! ("Try pushing then puddle forward then retreating, Mom.")

Some of those lies people tell about me, are true
I finally got out to the garage, and spent a whole day with my dad playing with the tig welder. My dad was a welder also, and all he saw was the miller synchrowave. He was pretty much astonished how small the machines have gotten. And how much more control you have over a weld. Hes 75 and hasnt touched a tig torch in probably 15 years. He was really surprised with this machine. I got to say, the old man can still lay a bead down. The only thing we didnt try with it was the ac side. Didnt have any rod or scrap to try it with. But everything works on it. Have got to get a smaller torch though. I really do like this machine. The only gripe I got, is the lettering around the knobs are a bit small, got ta use the glasses.

In your case the moment was a whole day with your Dad, how cool is that!

Ya Dave, I pretty much had to drag him away from the machine. He spent the most time behind the torch, and I did the adjustments. While my mom brought us ice tea. It was a day I wont forget. I only get to see them about 2 times a year. Im trying to get my welding stuff accumilated to get some sort of business started. I got a 40x40 garage, with a lathe a bridge port a box and pan brake a 25 gal air compressor a fair amount of tools and a bunch more crap. Im running out of floor space. But any way, I guess its time to kinda advertise.
I live on the biggest lake, in Oklahoma. Aluminum and stainless is probably going to be the majority of what I will be doing. Prop jigs, is most likely my next aquisitation. Along with trying to sell some of these Everlast machines to the oil field welders.
Sounds like he enjoyed himself! Maybe he'll visit more often, or maybe you can farm out some work to him. I hope the startup business goes well for you.

Heck, I can't read your post without cheaters on. But not an Everlast issue, other forums are the same way . Must be my eyes.
Never thought about it, but they little rounds ticker dots for tagging things might help. We have a couple grease pencil marks for car panels to dial it down on the MIG.
Glad you and he like the machine. Grab some filler and scrap or drops and give it a spin. Maybe your Dad might hang out more if he does not live to far away. My Dad is 3.5 hours away, so phone calls are in, he's 72.
