Hello all,
My name is Will and I am an Aircraft Structures tech currently stationed in South Korea. I have been stalking this forum and Everlast welders for the last 2 years trying to decide what brand I was going to go with upon my return. Was a die hard Miller guy before I went overseas. Although I dont know why, since I had 2 PC Boards fry on my old syncrowave, costing over $1k to repair each time.
I was bouncing back and forth between Red and Blue for a while, but after much research I believe Green is the way to go for me. One big reason for this decision is that these inverter welders and plasma cutters advertise to run on 50Hz power. That is a big point for me since I will be going from Korea to England next for the 3-6 years. Although, I would like to confirm this with an Everlast Tech. I know running the old transformer based machines can be a bit of a gamble on 50Hz power due to the reduced duty cycle. I just wonder if the fan speeds, amperage, and duty cycle will be affected in the same way.
Will soon be Contacting Oleg for my order. I plan on ordering the whole setup at once(Tig, Mig, and Plasma). Im just waiting to see if the 255EXT becomes available by August because that is what I really have my mind set on. I have a lot of projects in mind for when I get to England Cant wait to get my hands on an Austin Mini and a Series Land Rover. I hope to get to know you guys well here on the forums(for all good reasons fingers crossed...lol)
