Thread: Trailer Build Project from Everlast

Default Trailer Build Project from Everlast

It's been fun and hot doing a short series of videos on building a utility trailer this past month.
I actually ended up building 3 trailers in under 2 weeks in 90-100 degree temps. I'm putting a link
here. I think everything is pretty self explanatory. If you have any questions about the build,
I am happy to answer. I've built a lot of trailers like these. Here's a couple of pictures of one dating back several years ago, and the links to the current one. I'll add more links when youtube
    finishes loading the rest.

Nice looking trailers. I know some one is going to ask, so how much do you have in materials to build one ??

I'll have that info in the last video as part of a summary.

It's going to depend regionally and how many you build at a time, so you don't have nearly a whole stick of metal left over.
Metal for both trailers was around 450.00
Axles with springs/hubs installed (3500 lb) were 89.00
Tires with wheels (50-75 each depending upon source)
    Hanger kits were 7.00 each
DTM Rustoleum Paint about 3 qts each at 9.00 qt.
    Hitch 9.00
    Fenders 7.00-12.00 each

Not sure what's up with part 5. Youtube apparently doesn't like it, because I have all the audio, but ONE frame of video. ???? Sorry, will resolve this in the AM. Part 6 as of now seems loading ok, but who knows? I could release part 6, but then it may not follow logically.

    Mark,

If you load Part 6, we can move them around once you get Part 5 figured out and posted. But only if you feel like it as, you are doing this in a sequence to logically build it ground up.

FYI: Video is great, background music not annoying or loud, editing is great. If the welding does not work out you can make videos LOL. New camera yet?

No new cam. It really gets artifacty on me in anything but daylight, and it will do it then too. It's starting to poop I think.
Color and focus from one video shot to the next varies. It eats SD cards for breakfast.

The only thing I can think of I did wrong was I noticed a typing mistake in the intro as I forgot to change the intro to part 5. I went back AFTER I rendered it to mp4 (originally AVCHD) and fixed the mistake in the original and the RE rendered it under the old file name. It plays on the separate windows video player on my computer fine. No problem there, but I have loaded it three times and it still loads the whole audio track and ONE frame of video, essentially the thumbnail at about 4 minutes. It must have thrown something into the codec that throws youtube for a loop but windows player works fine.

I have reopened the original VSV file the program uses to work raw video, and resaved it under a new file name, and everything, and then re rendered it AGAIN under a new file name, and same thing happened and same frame.
So I went back and re edited a couple of things and made a slight adjustment here or there to see if I could FORCE it to rerender correctly. (Think it's more youtube than anything). It's loading now.

Incidentally, I never closed out part 5 and just redited and erased all the old video and dropped part 6 video in and it worked fine.

There will be a part 7 . I am not sure there is enough material to stretch to another video beyond that though.

Part 5....success...sort of. Sorry there appears to be a few annoying clicks and pops in the video audio. Not sure where that is coming from. It seems to die down after a minute or so ....somewhat.
